The Corrick Project

The Corrick Collection holds some of the earliest films ever made. Using these as their inspiration, an ensemble of some of the country’s leading physical theatre and circus artists are working with the creative team over two weeks to explore how the past and the present may talk to each other to create “An Entertainment of Science and Art”.

Artists: Alicia Battestini, Damien Cooper, Tom Flanagan, Mic Gruchy, Alex Harrison, Lally Katz, Patrick Nolan, Simone O’Brien, Nicholas Rayment, Kate Sherman, Anna Tregloan, Ben Walsh, Matt Wilson, Emil Wolk.

This project has been assisted by the Australian Government through the Australia Council for the Arts, its arts funding and advisory body. With support from the National Film and Sound Archive, Sydney Festival and Perth Festival.
